July 8th: Be part of the CLARA session for the analysis of the projects to be presented in the FP7 call for e-Infrastructures PDF Print E-mail

FP7Until June 28 CLARA will received presentations of project proposals to be presented on July 8 at the informative meeting in preparation for the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) 2011 called in the field of e-Infrastructures. The call, that includes all Latin American National Research and Education Networks members of CLARA and the ALICE2 project, will contain a preparative meeting to be held on July 1st. Check and adjust the proposals in the format required by the FP7, and helping to get partners, are the objectives of the activity that takes place by videoconference through the GLOBAL platform. IMPORTANT: general rehearsal: July 1st.

For researchers of countries members of CLARA, the European Community (EC) will hold an on-line Information Session (via videoconference) on the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) 2011 called in the field of e-Infrastructures, on Thursday July 8, at 14 GMT. CLARA will selecte the groups that may submit their proposals in that session, who should participate on July 1 in the respective rehearsal.

To participate and present your project in the online information session on July 8, you should:
1) Prepare a presentation of four minutes and two slides, that contains the name of the initiative to be propose at the FP7 and that express clearly the problem to be address and the technical proposal to do so.
2) Send the presentation to Benjamin Marticorena (benjamin.marticorena @ redclara.net), with copies to Rocío Cos (Rocio.Cos @ redclara.net) and Claudia Cordova (Claudia.Cordova @ redclara.net), no later than Monday June 28.
3) To participate on July 1 at the preparatory session.

Important: please consider the themes of the call, to avoid the participation of groups whose interests and work fields are different. According to the site of CORDIS, this year, the themes of the meeting and their respective coordinators in the EC are:

To participate in the meeting will only be selected those presentations that include the themes of the call (see INFRA topics 2001, described above). The test session, on Thursday, July 1, will take place through the videoconferencing platform GLOBAL-Plaza: http://globalplaza.org/spaces/global/events/preparation-meeting-for-global-infoday-latin-america
Rocío Cos, Project Manager (Rocio.Cos @ redclara.net) can answer questions about the contents of the meeting. Besides, Claudia Cordova, Training Manager (Claudia.Cordova @ redclara.net) and Walter Munguia (Walter.Munguia @ raap.gob.pe) will be responsible for the technical aspects of both sessions.

July 8 Session with the European Commission:
The session will be carried out by the GLOBAL platform at- http://globalplaza.org/spaces/global/events/global-infoday-for-america, will last two hours and will have the following format:
1) Welcome
2) Presentation of each of the themes of the call, in accordance with the list above.
3) Exhibitions (4 minutes each) of the Latin American participants via videoconference on RedCLARA.
