 The conference, organized by TERENA and hosted by the Czech National Research and Education Network (CESNET), will be held from 16 - 19 May 2011 in Prague, Czech Republic. The topics covered include future networks, advanced applications and services and digital lifestyle. The deadline for proposal submission is November 30.
The Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association (TERENA) invite to submit abstract for the TERENA Networking Conference 2011 (TNC2011), which will have as theme of 'Enabling Communities' and will be held from 16 - 19 May 2011 in Prague, Czech Republic, organized by TERENA and hosted by the Czech National Research and Education Network (CESNET). TNC2011 is the European networking meeting place, bringing together the networking community from universities and NRENs. It aims to showcase European & global collaboration, as well as global developments, current challenges and recent results within the topics and areas covered by the conference. These include: • Future Netwoks: network technology, network management, control planes, virtual networks, future networks, bandwidth on demand, network architectures • Communities & Identities: federations, virtual organisation & collaborations, e-science ecosystems, future research communities, future of the classroom, student communities, identity management, reshaping collaboration, teaching and learning communities, intelligent crowd • Supporting Collaboration: real-time collaboration, access everywhere, collaboration beyond academic boundaries, social media • Advanced Applications & Services: advanced media, location-aware services, Grids & clouds, storage and databases, advanced & demanding applications • Digitak Lifestyle: social considerations, privacy, security challenges, Internet governance, social media, digital natives Extended abstracts of 600 – 1200 words (rather than full papers) can be submitted via the drop box at https://tnc2011.terena.org/participate/submit/ until 30 November 2010. To select the papers/abstracts for presentation at the TNC2011, all submitted papers/abstracts will go through three comprehensive reviews: (1) double-blind (at least three reviewers), (2) non-blind and (3) participative peer reviews. Authors will receive the result of the evaluations by the reviewers of their papers/abstracts.
