 Both initiatives are directed to the technical team of the national networks connected to RedCLARA and will be developed remotely through the virtual training platform “RedCLARA Aprende”. Identity Federation and Implementation of eduroam are the main topics of these courses.
1.Technical Course of Identity Federation for Research and Education
The objective of the course is to train the staff of Information Technologies of the education and research institutions in the basic concepts of identity federation with the implementation and administration of an Identity Provider (component that supports and manages the data from persons working on an institution), taking as an example the Brazilian identity federation (Comunidad Académica Federada - CAFe).
• Teachers: Camila Santos (RNP-Brazil), Alejandro Lara (REUNA-Chile)
• Requirements to take the course: knowledge of Linux, networking, Apache Tomcat and LDAP
• Beginning of classes: Monday April 15th
• End of classes: May 24th

2. Implementing eduroam for education and research
The purpose is to train staff of Information Technologies of educational and research institutions to implement and manage their institutions in an identity provider and service eduroam.
