From 9 to 11 of May, in Bogotá, Colombia, will be held the Conference “Libraries and Digital Repositories: Knowledge Management, Open Access and Latin American Visibility",
BIREDIAL2011, organized by the national network of Colombia,
RENATA, the Colombian Digital Library,
BDCOL and the Latin American Community of Libraries and Digital Repositories,
COLABORA, with support of the Confederation of Open Access Repositories,
COAR, and
RedCLARA.
For anyone interested in participating, is now open the call for submission of contributions in the form of posters and demos, articles and tutorials on the following topics:

- Intellectual Property
- Institutional Repositories and repository networks
- Best Practices
- Metadata, Protocols and Standards
- Policies
- Initiatives and national and regional perspectives
- Measuring impact and quality
- Innovation, productivity and competitiveness
- Academic Network, Scientific and e-Science
- University Relationship, Business and State
- Democratization of knowledge and narrowing of the gap
The event is presented as a Latin American space of reunion for researchers responsible for digital content in the institutions, government, business sector, among others, which will include scientific and technological advances in the field of Libraries and Digital Repositories, best practices and experiences policy implementation and management of digital content in the region.
Posters, demos, articles and tutorials are the modalities of participation in the activity that will take place from 9 to 11 of May in Bogota, Colombia and that will gather different actors involved in the management and administration of digital content. The deadline for submission of material is February 15, 2011.
