 As a result of the call nine proposals were selected for the development of projects in areas that include wireless networks, mobility, security, measurement, voice over IP, multiconference, IPTV and IPv6.
To contribute with the network development and deployment of new network services pilots of interest to the National Research and Education Networks (NREN) connected to RedCLARA, as well as to support the transfer of knowledge between the NRENs since 2005, with the support of the program Latin America Interconnected with Europe in its first and second version, ALICE2, has been stimulated the creation and development of a program of Working Groups linked to the area of technology and networks in Latin American academic community.
This program seeks to promote interaction between RedCLARA activities and research groups from the participating institutions of the community, and contribute to the promotion of innovation in a continuous way in both services and in network applications.
The new Work Groups for the 2011-2012 period are:
GT-SCIFI | Intelligent control system wireless networks
Objective: To develop an open platform for centralized control of access points.

GT- PIT VOIP | Internet Exchange Point Voice over IP
Objective: Modeling and implementing a traffic exchange point of VoIP in RedCLARA through the interconnection of the telephone networks of the NRENs.
