In the context of the ALICE2 project, RedCLARA invites researchers and scientific and academic communities in Latin America partners of the National Research and Education (NREN) connected to RedCLARA and members of the ALICE2 project, to participate in the Second RedCLARA - ALICE2 Case Studies contest.

The contest aims to expose and disseminate successful experiences in the use of Advanced Internet (provided by RedCLARA, ALICE2 and the associated NRENs) in projects, initiatives and applications that promote development, science and innovation in Latin America, enhancing the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) agreed by the UN, or that are in the priority areas defined by the Seventh Framework Programme - FP7 (http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/jrc/home_en.html).

Applicants must produce a case study for each initiative, and can compete with as many case studies as initiatives they develop and that are consider appropriate to present, and that meet the eligibility requirements and criteria established in the call.

Proposals will be reviewed by a five member jury selected by the RedCLARA Board among regional research communities and with the participation of the Communications and Public Relationship Management and the Academic Relations Management of RedCLARA.

The winner proposal and those that qualify as finalists will be distributed among ALICE2 and RedCLARA communities and will be highlighted in the RedCLARA press media: RedCLARA and ALICE2 websites, DeCLARA Bulletin, DeCLARA Express Newsletter and others that may be generated.

The results of this process will be published on Thursday, December 29th, 2011, in the website of RedCLARA and ALICE2. Both finalists and the contest winner will be previously notified on Monday December 26th, 2011, through an email sent by the Academic Relations Management of RedCLARA.
