In order to improve quality and provide communication spaces between the scientific and technological institutions in Peru and their peers in the world, the National Council for Science, Technology and Technological Innovation of Peru (CONCYTEC), will subsidize the connection of 13 institutions with RedCLARA through the Peruvian Academic Network, RAAP.

Institutional cooperation includes the development of informative workshops related to science and technology aimed at government institutions. Developed in coordination with the National Assembly of Rectors workshops will be also held, for the RAAP partner universities and other universities of Peru, and through the CONCYTEC contacts will be done the coordination, promotion and dissemination of events.

To date seven informative workshops have took place. During the reunions Claudia Cordova, Training Manager of RedCLARA, presented the work, objectives and services provided by the Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks (RedCLARA), Genghis Rios, RAAP Technical Representative made an introduction to advanced networks for education and research and Juvenal Castromonte, RAAP Vicepresident, referred to the Advanced Networks and the new paradigm in collaborative research work.

"In Europe there is no research project and no support action for a researcher that has no connection to an advanced network. In Peru we are still working individually, we have institutions that are not linked; researchers who don’t  talk and that don’t know each other, even at the national context, " state the President of CONCYTEC, Dr. Victor Carranza.
