This september the first ends the time for send applications to the EELA-2 and EPIKH´s the Grid School which is planned to be held on September 28th to October 10th, in Queretaro, Mexico.

EELA-2 (E-science grid facility for Europe and Latin America) and EPIKH (Exchange Programme to advance e-infraestructure Know How) are the organizers of the Second EELA-2 Grid School (E2GRIS-2) to be held from September 28th to October 10th, in Queretaro, Mexico.

The E2GRIS-2 program is based both on lectures and hands-on practices, will cover in-depth the main topics of Grid technology as well as the EELA-2 middleware technicalities.

Remember, the school is mostly intended, but not restricted, for EELA-2 members. Good previous knowledge about Linux, for Linux applications, or Windows, for Windows applications, is mandatory, and knowledge about the gLite middleware or OurGrid, depending on which platform the application will run, is highly desirable.

All application candidatures must be submitted to the Selection Board of the School by a team of at most two persons before the 1st of September 2009. Each application team should fill the questionnaire available on the web at the URL http://applications.eu-eela.eu/e2gris2 describing the application they want to port on the EELA-2 e-Infrastructure. The Selection Board will rank both, applications and persons, for the final approval to be made by the EELA-2 Technical Board.

At least one application per team will be selected. Accepted candidates will be notified by the 7th of September 2009 and invited to fill the registration form to participate in the school. Financing
EELA-2 accepted candidates will be financed by the project and have to commit to their participation in the whole event. Applications of non EELA2 members will be evaluated case by case for possible financing.
