TERENA invites to submit proposals for the TERENA Networking Conference 2011 (TNC2011), to be held in Prague between May 16 and 19, 2011, will feature “Enabling Communities” as core topic. The deadline for submitting papers is 30 November. In order to encourage the participation of the Latin American community, CLARA will cover through the ALICE2 project the airfare, meal and registration expenses of those who submit a paper that is accepted to be presented in TNC2011.

Within the context of the Conference of the Americas on International Education (CAEI), held in Calgary between October 20-23, the Inter-American Organisation for Higher Education (IOHE) and CLARA signed a collaboration agreement which identifies important actions that the two organisations will jointly undertake in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation.

On November 15th, the training led by the experts Alejandra Stolk and Javier Contreras will be initiated over the Moodle platform. Its target audience is the technical staff from RedCLARA's National Research and Education Networks and/or from its member universities and institutions.

On October 27, the RedCLARA's Network Engineering Group (NEG) established a peering with the National University of Singapore (NUS) which allows the advanced Latin-American network to exchange direct IP traffic with NUS, improving the speed and efficiency in the communications and activities that over RedCLARA develop its users with the scientists and researchers from NUS.
