The 16th Workshop on Internet Network Technologies for Latin America and the Caribbean, to be held in Managua, Nicaragua, will feature a program consisting of seven modules that cover topics such as wireless networks, the deployment of IPv6 and security. The pre-registration process will be open until August 30, 2013.

WALC 2013 The purpose of these workshops, which have been conducted for more than twenty years, is to meet the training needs of technicians and professionals from Latin America and the Caribbean in the area of information technologies and communication, with emphasis on the practical aspects of networking, organization and project management in I.T. and recent technological developments in these fields.

The program covers current issues selected by the International Program Committee, with the input from the local organizers in this case the National Engineering University (UNI) of Nicaragua. The activities will include seven theoretical and practical workshops will be conducted simultaneously, in order to participants being able to choose the more interesting for them.

WALC 2013 will involve the participation of instructors from the Latin American region as well as the U.S. and Europe, related with higher education institutions, research centers, technological innovations, international organizations that provide training services to developing countries , private sector companies and other organizations devoted to providing and promoting Internet services.
