The Latin American Conference on High Performance Computing, CLCAR 2013, is an annual event which main purpose is to provide a space for meeting and exchange of experiences for the research communities of Latin America in high performance computing, including parallel and distributed computing, scientific computing and their applications in solving particular problems.

CLCARThe CLCAR is carried out since 2007 and is promoted by a group of investigators from universities and research centers in Latin America that seek to promote a forum for the discussion of new knowledge and trends in the area, and to coordinate initiatives and efforts to develop high-performance computing technologies that can contribute to the resolution of social and economic problems commons in the region.

The event is aimed at students, scientists and researchers dedicated to the areas of high performance computing, parallel and distributed systems, e-Science and its application to real life problems, but especially focused on Latin American proposals.

Activities
The conference program will include plenary sessions, lectures, poster presentations, tutorials, workshops, a student Olympiad and social events.
