The Conference on Role of e-infrastructures for Climate Change Research will be held from 16 to 20 May in Trieste, Italy. There are possibilities to apply for sponsorship to attend this event and a tutorial.

The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics, (ICTP), Trieste, Italy, calls for participation in a conference where world experts will meet to discuss the role of e-infrastructure in a better understanding of climate change at global and regional scale.

The conference "Role of e-Infrastructure for Climate Change Research" will be held from 16 to 20 May and will have to expound to the participating scientists and stakeholders, such as modern electronic infrastructure (which includes HCP and Grid environments) have great potential for use in the investigation of a phenomenon as complex as climate change.

Climate change has become a priority in research programs and it´s claiming a growing data management and computing resources. Electronic infrastructures are an innovative and unique approach to address this problem and an effective means to share resources and access of different types.

Therefore, the ICTP has organized this event in collaborationwith the EU-India Grid2 project, EUMEDGRID Support project and Chain project.
