GISELA announces the second edition of its informative bulletin Print

The new publication of the GISELA project (Grid e-Science Initiatives for Virtual Communities in Europe and Latin America) includes among its topics:
- Special | " Grid for bioinformatics: The challenge of the region": sequencing and other advanced activities in biology, such as gene prediction, genome assembly and simulation of evolutionary processes currently require computer for the management and analysis of these billions of data resulting from this part of science. Learn about the experiences of Latin America and Spain.

- Interview with Salma Jalife and Luis Núnez, in charge of proposing the Business Plan for the service of distributed computing in Latin America | "Distributed Computing as a service in Latin America": the new model of service for Advanced Computing (CA) in Latin America seeks to build a bridge between the established e-Infrastructure initiatives and those emerging. As a challenge, there is regional capacity building, in equal conditions to the countries. To this end, collaborative networks and the training and sustainability of virtual research communities are the ideal target. Industry and trade are also included in the possibilities of the service.
