Call for the MAEC-AECI 2010 fellowship programs in Spain for foreign citizens |

On December16, the Official State Bulletin (BOE) published the Resolution approving the Notice of Fellowship Programs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MAEC) and the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECI), for foreign citizens for the academic year 2010-2011. This initiative of higher education training is an important instrument of Spanish cooperation policy with countries receiving official development aid. It is also essential to the cultural and scientific relations between Spain and the rest of the world. Its main aim is to finance the cost involved in training at universities, research centers and agencies Spanish and foreign, foreign graduates, with training designed to provide superior human resources, essential for self-development and sustainable, and industry as a strategic element of the Spanish official aid to development, and also of its cultural policy abroad. In this sense, the program seeks, on the one hand, support the training of specialists and skilled professionals and, secondly, the creation of scientists, both researchers and technologists, to strengthen academic and research institutions of the countries with which Spain maintains cooperative relations. Importantly, this call reflects some changes which are reflected in: 1. Separation of the call: one for Spanish and other foreigners.
